With global markets rapidly changing, developing the competencies required to be competitive have never been more challenging; yet very much considered a strategic requirement for business success. It's important to your organization's success to keep on top of the changing markets, and to take full advantage of any new opportunities. Because of these challenges, Mercury University has incorporated self-paced learning programs into our curriculum offerings, called E-Skill courses.
E-Skill courses: What are E-Skill courses?
Electronic learning can reduce training costs while increasing the availability of learning programs when and where it is needed. There has never been a better time to join the learning revolution.
E-Skill courses can be done at a technician's own pace, either at the dealership or on his or her own time. Each E-Skill course includes one or more CD-Rom, DVD, or book. The technician can view the material and take the required test for each E-Skill Course. Once the test is completed, the technician will fax it to Mercury University . It will be corrected and the results will be faxed back to the technician within one business-day. Once the test has been passed, the credits for the course will be added to the technician's credit history.
Classroom courses: How do I attend the Classroom courses?
Also offered each year are various product-specific classroom courses in 18 different school locations throughout the United States and Canada . Each course can be anywhere from one to five days, depending on the classroom course. There are prerequisites for each course, and many prerequisites are the E-Skill courses mentioned above. The classroom courses are either MerCruiser-specific, Outboard-specific, or both MerCruiser- and Outboard- product specific. The Mercury University course catalog explains in more detail each course and the prerequisites for them.
